We care about the community we live in and that's why we support local farms and suppliers. By doing this we are able to reduce long distance logistics, fossil fuel usage, and it helps to ensure local farms and agriculture thrive. Locally produced food is fresher and tastier!
MOB HONEY
My name is Amber Yano, and I own MOB Honey. I farm because I love bees. I started a business because I want to enrich our local food system. I’ve spent the last 8 years perfecting the art of beekeeping and in 2018 started My Own Business (MOB).
I believe our local food system is fractured but on the mend. We partner with businesses who share the same joy for local and parallel passions for great taste. Our honey is raw, unpasteurized, complex, fluffy and Albertan.
Our bees forage just east of the Rocky Mountains in western Alberta plains, prairies, rolling grassland and from diverse cropland around the Calgary area.

At Micro Acres we approach agriculture in an innovative way. Growing in square feet, not acres.
With 15 years’ experience in the food service industry we have always had the privilege of serving others amazingly fresh and local products. However, food costs for local products have gone up over the years and we want to change that. Together we desire to take that same service and attention and apply it to an incredible product that is local, healthy and fresh 365 days a year that can be delivered to tables and restaurants within hours of harvest. We offer both pre-cut and living trays of microgreens grown sustainably with organic practices in mind.

Fresh, handcrafted bread and treats. Quality, carefully sourced ingredients. We’re up at the crack of dawn so our bakeries smell like Mom’s kitchen. After each day of sharing our love for all things fluffy and flaky, we pay it forward by donating leftover baked goods to local charities.
One of the keys to our quality products is the ingredients we use. We work with many suppliers from across the globe, and as part of our decision criteria as to whom we should partner with, we review their environmental and people management practices. We request that they recognize our goal to reduce our carbon footprint and help us achieve our goals.

We built Township 24 because we believe we can make great beer, support local producers and help put Alberta firmly on the craft beer map. We are passionate about small batch, hand crafted beer and sharing the process with the community.
We believe in supporting local, both in the ingredients we choose as well as our role in the community. We are fortunate to be located in the heart of one of the world’s finest malt barley regions and we are proud to say Alberta barley forms the basis of everything we brew.

We have long had a love for great coffee and when we had the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of entrepreneurship, a desire was sparked in us to join the community of people roasting high quality artisan coffee.
We started working with greens in an attempt to develop roasted coffee we loved and so our journey began. Marc has always been passionate about cooking and great flavors. He started channeling that passion into developing the full flavor potential of the green coffee he was working with. We started with a electric coffee roasting pan and quickly moved to a micro drum roaster. A roasting class and several hundred roasts later, Bow River Coffee Company was born. DEEPWATER FARMS
Deepwater Farms was founded in Calgary, Alberta in 2015. It started as a passion project to bring the farm closer to people and people closer to their food. We grow baby greens in an indoor, controlled environment, and sell our produce locally. Unlike field-grown greens, which are subject to harsh growing conditions and a long journey to your plate, our greens are grown for flavour and nutrition instead of durability.
Deepwater Farms greens are grown in a hydroponic system that delivers the perfect amount of nutrients in an optimal environment, so they don’t struggle to grow which can cause greens to become tough and bitter. Given this perfect environment, and a short drive to the local supermarket, we are able to harvest them at their best which results in beautifully fresh, tender, and tasty salads.
